Jasper Meyer zu Riemsloh represents and advises clients on all issues of intellectual property law, with a focus on patent law and there the enforcement of patents. He has participated in various cross-border patent infringement proceedings in the telecommunications and pharma sector and as part of such proceedings also took part in nullity actions at the Federal Patents Court and in opposition proceedings at the European Patent Office. He was and is involved in numerous proceedings regarding the enforcement of SEPs in the telecommunication sector on the plaintiffs and defendants side and has a broad experience regarding the FRAND-defense.

Background

Jasper Meyer zu Riemsloh studied law at the University of Muenster and the University of Cologne. As part of his studies, he completed an additional course on “Technical Language Training for U.S. Law”. After his first state examination, Jasper Meyer zu Riemsloh received a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a specialization in “Intellectual Property and InformationTechnology Law” from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. He interned at the Duesseldorf District Court as well as various firms specialized in intellectual property law. He received his license to practice law in 2006.

Before joining Wildanger in summer of 2009, Jasper Meyer zu Riemsloh worked in the IP department of a large international law firm in Frankfurt/Main. His focus there was also on IP law, especially patent and trademark law. He became a partner of Wildanger in 2016.

Jasper Meyer zu Riemsloh is a member of the German Association for Intellectual Property and Copyright (GRUR), the German Association of Intellectual Property Professionals (VPP) and the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) where he is a member of the European Practice Committee. He is a regular speaker at conferences.
